Jim loves Circles

Jim loves these circles, or does he like them? Are they even circles? I think we can all relate to the curious challenges we face in our minds when we love circles. But we get past those uncertainties. The circles draw us to them, regardless of ambiguities. Jim loves circles, and that is enough.

Melissa Loves Circles

Here, Melissa picked out some circles she loves and tells us why she loves them.

Thanks Melissa.

dot lovers

Chris has brought it to my attention that there is a "Dots" group on Facebook
Yes, the age of internet-interconnectedness has allowed us to refine our fetishes and find community in our tastes for the meticulously particular, But let us not forget that every circle, must begin with a dot.

amber's circles, coming soon

Amber has been looking at circles all her life, loving them. Later this week we will feature an interview with her about her experience with circles, how they have affected her life. Here is just a sample of what she has sent to the site:

Laura Bell was gracious enough to show some love for circles on the site. Check it out and support fellow circle lovers.

just maybe

We've contacted a skilled visual artist because Joe has brought our attention to her love of circles. Currently, we are awaiting a reply. If she agrees, then you will see how much she loves circles once we make a link to her online gallery.

repeated attempts circle

Joe sent us this non-exquisite circle and this to think about:

"repeated attempts to reproduce forms of mathematical perfection can never individually achieve the desired ideal but will average out to near-perfect accuracy and fidelity to that ideal over time"

Just one more thing to love about circles. As if we needed another reason! I love circles.

I found this on flickr

I found this on flickr. I'm glad I didn't find this when I first looked up "i love circles" because I would have been satisfied and not had to make the blog. But it's nice to see it now and to know that I'm not the only one who loves circles.

circle with pen on paper, traced

This is a circle that was traced on a piece of paper with a pen by me. It's very confident isn't it. This circle says to me "I am a circle." And that voice is correct, it is indeed a circle and I like circles.

circle, pencil, traced, paper

Here is a circle that I traced on paper. I used a pencil. The pencil gave this circle a certain ephemeral quality. I like that, but what I like most about this circle is that it's a circle. I like circles.

pen circle on white paper

Here is a nice circle I just made so that i love circles would have a circle. I think it is fine. It was made by the pen nearest me and a piece of scrap paper. I free-handed this bitch. I like it's variation. It has three distinctive deviations that are somewhat triangularly symmetric. I like that, but what I like most about it is that it is a circle. And I love circles.
